WhatsApp restores the history from a copy saved on Google Drive or iCloud, and Telegram keeps conversations in the cloud by default; you just need to log back into your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here&#039;s a warning that often catches people by surprise: restoring a WhatsApp backup will replace your current history with the backup. Anything added after the backup date will be lost. Make sure to do this before restoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For deleted photos, the first stop is the gallery&#039;s trash, which on Android and iPhone keeps files for about 30 days. After that comes the automatic backup from Google Photos or iCloud. Official tools don&#039;t do that, and that&#039;s intentional. In the workplace, the rule is similar \u2014 monitoring company equipment requires a written policy, employee acknowledgment, and limiting its use to corporate use, never accessing personal conversations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What if the problem is trust in the relationship?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Monitoring your partner&#039;s cell phone doesn&#039;t resolve suspicion: it creates a criminal problem on top of one that already existed. Besides the criminal risk, the evidence obtained this way is illegal and cannot be used in court, including in divorce proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the relationship has reached this point, conversation and professional counseling resolve things better than any app \u2014 and don&#039;t put anyone at risk of being sued for hacking their device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In summary: for underage children, use transparent parental controls \u2014 Family Link on Android, Screen Time on iPhone. For conversations or photos of yours that have disappeared, use the gallery&#039;s trash and cloud backup. Always download from the Play Store or App Store, because monitoring apps distributed outside of these stores are almost always spyware, and whoever installs them is responsible for their actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And for another adult&#039;s cell phone, the answer is simple: no.
