For all of this, the estimate per tape recorded in the app is sufficient and costs almost nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to reduce error without buying scales<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Standardize the time, person, and tape measure for all measurements.<\/li>\n<li>Restrain the animal in a chute or pen, keeping it standing and calm.<\/li>\n<li>Measure twice and use the average when there is a difference between the readings.<\/li>\n<li>Whenever the batch passes through a scale, compare it to the estimate and note the deviation \u2014 several apps allow you to correct the calculation based on this adjustment.<\/li>\n<li>Treat the number as a range, not as a decimal point: &quot;around 430 kg&quot; is more honest than &quot;430 kg&quot;.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<h2>How to calculate your own profit margin, instead of accepting the manufacturer&#039;s.<\/h2>\n<p>The number on the tape packaging or in the app description is a study average, obtained under controlled conditions.
